SEMCOA operates four emergency assistance congregate family shelters and additional scattered sites that provide supportive services to families and assist them with securing permanent housing.
SEMCOA also provides residential recovery home treatment to individuals with substance use disorders, as well as transitional and permanent housing stability and support programs.
Our portfolio also includes two graduate sober houses, the Family Preservation Program, as well as Greater Brockton and Greater Attleboro Taunton Healthy Families programs.
House Placement Specialist Requirements Valid Driver's License An understanding of the relationship between substance use, domestic violence, mental health issues and homelessness House Placement Specialist Duties & Responsibilities Maintain participant confidentiality Develop cooperative working relationships with landlords where families are residing and for future tenant opportunities Maintain contact with participants in accordance with DHCD requirements Develop economic stability plans and long term housing strategies with participants Identify, coordinate, and advocate for appropriate support services for all members of the family Help mitigate behavioral issues that would affect family's ability to sustain housing Develop and modify monthly service plans for ongoing family needs Assist families in maximizing income and obtaining employment whenever possible Assist in scheduling supportive services for participants related to job training and skills training Aid families in compliance with lease requirements Advocate for participant to help maintain permanent housing placement Maintain thorough knowledge of public and private resources in the community Strengthen current and create new partnerships with community resources to ensure that the families develop the skills needed to sustain housing Understand and comply with ETO/HMIS reporting requirements Work and communicate with participant's Case Manager regarding families progress and address barriers to obtaining housing Ensure families' safety and well-being.
Report all concerns/suspicions to supervisor Have thorough knowledge of 51A filing and company procedure Utilize universal/standard precautions at all times Demonstrates behaviors that recognize the rights of participants House Placement Specialist Qualifications Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or relevant work and/or life experience Experience working with low income families of diverse cultural backgrounds.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
